The Reston Raider hockey club is always interested in adding new coaches to our programs... where we currently enjoy a coaching team of more than 100 volunteer coaches.

We are particularly interested in non-parent coaches but recognize that the commitment of time is significant particularly at the travel level and we do welcome parent coaches.

If you are new to the area or simply interested in getting involved as a coach with the Raiders please contact us and we can place you with a team that has a practice schedule and time commitment that fits your schedule.

Our Initiation program meets just once a week, the House program is one practice and one game per week and the Travel teams have two practices and generally two games per week.

Please send an email to info@restonraiders.com with your name, coaching experience and level of interest and our Coaching Selection Committee will assist you with getting placed with a team.

COACHING CLINICS All coaches must enter USA Hockey’s Coaching Education Program at Level 1, & continue with a clinic each year until, at a minimum, they achieve Level 3. Coaches who don't coach in continuous years must re-enter the program at the next level when they resume coaching. Find a coaching clinic .	AGE SPECIFIC MODULES Coaches must also complete online age-specific training modules specific to the level of play they are coaching, if they have not already taken that module. This requirement applies to all coaches at all levels, 1 through 5. Coaches may complete more than one age-specific module in any given season. Start a module .
